The Village Association was formed in 2002, with the aims of:
- Helping to maintain the attractiveness of the village.
- Helping to develop the village in the interests of the residents.
As the village is separted into two Parishes, the Association is particularly keen to look after the interests of the village as a whole.
Areas of achievement have been:
- Replacement of the playground area for young children.
- Ensuring that traffic is aware of its responsibilities by better signage and road markings, particularly near the school.
- Organising regular session to tied up the village and the enhance the garden areas.
- Liaising with the local Police to deter antisocial behaviour
- The publication of a newsletter four times a year to keep people informed of a wide range of issues.
The meetings are held every 3 months in the Reading Room. Everyone is welcome to attend, and to raise issues that may need attention.
